Listening to this classic album!

The London Howlin’ Wolf Sessions is an album by blues musician Howlin’ Wolf released in 1971 on Chess Records, and on Rolling Stones Records in Britain. It was one of the first super session blues albums, setting a blues master among famous musicians from the second generation of rock and roll, in this case Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Charlie Watts, and Bill Wyman. It peaked at #79 on the Billboard 200.

If you want to have guitar performing at its peak, the setup is vital. A guitar that has not been properly setup can be difficult to play and thus disheartening for the beginner. It’s also important for the longeivity of the guitar to make sure the neck is in the correct position and doesn’t warp over time.

Guitar setups are available through me. Your guitar will be picked up, turned around in 24-48 hrs (unless parts are required) and returned to me. The cost is from $150 – $190 depending on the strings required. Service includes a new quality set of strings, Elixir where best suited. Sometimes additional work is required. Kids, this is what a proper turntable looks like. I’ve tried a few new turntables but these newfangled USB things are toys. If you want to hear what a record should really sound like, go for a turntable like this. It should have weights and manual settings. This one even has a strobe light to make sure the record is spinning at exactly the right speed. Only $250 on eBay. Viva la vinyl! Or as they say today, “black is back”!
